Aadhaar is considered as one of the most important documents in India. This means that Aadhaar is seen as essential everywhere from getting government benefits to school and college. Aadhaar card is an important document that is required in many places for people of all ages starting from children.
Ok now let’s get to the point. That is, if there is any change in your phone number, address, date of birth etc. in your Aadhaar, now let us see in detail how to do it online.
Method-1: First go to UIDAI official website page https://uidai.gov.in/ After that you have to select Update Your Aadhaar and click on Update Demographics Data Online under it.
Method-2: Next you need to enter your Aadhaar number and the security code that appears on the screen. After giving this click on Send OTP option. Then post the sent OTP. Especially after entering the OTP click on Login.
Method-3: After that you have to select which category you want to update. That means you have to select whatever you want to change like phone number, address, name. It is also worth noting that various sections can be updated at the same time.
Method-4: Also you need to scan and upload the relevant documents for the section you want to change. For example, if you want to update your address, you will need to upload proof of address such as a bill, bank statement or passport.
Step-5: Check the details you have specified, the uploaded documents and click the Submit button. Select the BPO service provider on the next screen. Especially BPO service providers are UIDAI approved Aadhaar update service providers.
Method-6: Now confirm the update and click on submit button again. After that you will be sent a unique Update Request Number. With this you can track your update information.
Similarly, details such as name, address, date of birth in Aadhaar can be updated online. But fingerprint, photo etc. can be updated only at Aadhaar service center. Download the Aadhaar Enrollment Form from the official website of the same UIDAI and fill the required details. Then submit the form at the nearest Aadhaar Enrollment Center. The Aadhaar employee present there will verify all the details through biometric verification.
And the employee will take a new photograph which will be updated on your Aadhaar card. Then you have to pay Rs.100 plus GST for this service. After that Aadhaar employee will give you acknowledgment slip and Update Request Number (URN – Update Request Number). After that your photo will be updated within 90 days.
