Reliance Jio, which is focusing more on 5G, has said that the 5G mobile will be launched in India in 2019-20. It has been reported that India’s first 5G mobile phone will be released next year.
The United States is the only country in the world where 5G telecommunications services are currently in small use. It plans to expand in the country early next year. South Korea, Japan, China and some European countries are preparing to launch 5G telecommunications early next year.
Reliance, a leading player in the oil, telecom and retail sectors, has started its annual general meeting today. For the first time, Reliance’s annual general meeting is being held using virtual technology due to the Corona impact. Addressing a public meeting, Reliance Group Chairman Mukesh Ambani said that India’s growth would be exponential after the Corona period.
Mukesh Ambani has announced that Google will invest Rs 33,737 crore and buy a 7.7 per cent stake in the company, which has already invested in Jio.With this, he noted that Jio will be the company that has attracted the biggest investments in the short term.
Mukesh Ambani said that the Jio 5G service will be launched soon and the service will be world class. He also said that Jio platforms will be rolled out to other telecom operators for 5G service. At the event, Jio Meat, Jio Mart, Jio Glass and Jio TV Plus were introduced.
As for the Jio TV Plus, it integrates with all OTT platforms like Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hotstar. Under a single lock, without a separate lock-in. Mukesh Ambani has said that Google and Jio have teamed up to make low-cost 5G smartphones. He said that we will completely remove 2G service from India and provide new technology to all.
So far 100 million Jio phones have been sold. Mukesh Ambani also said that Google and Jio are working together to produce a new powerful operating system running on the Android platform.
